Matt Watson
Co-Owner / Lead Instructor
Matt is a former operator/sniper for an active Northern Virginia SWAT Team. Matt is a DCJS certified instructor and has been the lead instructor for both SWAT Basic and Advanced courses. He is a Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and an NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. He has taught advanced firearms and tactics courses to members of several law enforcement agencies (Local, State and Federal) as well as members of the Armed Forces. He was also the trainer/ liaison for his department’s Tactical Medic Unit. Matt is a former US Army Combat Medic/ Flight Medic and Combat Lifesaver Instructor. He is certified as an EMT and American Heart Association BLS instructor and considered a subject matter expert on Tactical Medicine in Virginia. Matt is a certified instructor in semi-auto pistol, revolver, sub machine gun, carbine, shotgun, precision rifle, and heavy machine guns/ crew served weapons.
Mike Boyce
Co-Owner/ Lead Instructor
Mike Boyce is an established instructor in the martial arts community. He has over 25 years of experience in several arts such as Taekwondo, Filipino Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Thai Boxing, Shotokan Karate, Silat and many other systems. He was trained by the world renowned Navy SEAL Frank Cucci and became an official representative of the Linxx Martial Arts System. He is an official representative and Brown Belt under Marcelo Alonso (Brazilian Ju-Jitsu). Mr. Boyce is also a certified "Associate Instructor" under Ajarn Chai Surisite (Master Chai) who is a world champion Thai Boxer and a Lumpinee Stadium champion. He has been a Reserve Law Enforcement Officer in Virginia for over 10 years and is a Department of Criminal Justice General Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor and Firearms Instructor. Mike also has specialized in Officer Survival Tactics and CQB for over 5 years and has experience training foreign Special Forces overseas. He has taught for major security firms such as Triple Canopy, Blackwater and Heckler and Koch International. He holds several Firearms Instructor Certifications from the NRA, Virginia Department of Criminal Justice, U.S. State Department, and Heckler & Koch.
Wallace "Wally" Stotlemyer
Firearms Instructor
Wallace (Wally) Stotlemyer is a sworn law enforcement officer with over twelve years of law enforcement experience. Wallace has served with a local SWAT Team and did so for over seven years. During his time with SWAT, Wallace carried the responsibilities of entry team member, entry team leader, sniper and sniper team leader. Wallace currently fulfills his off time with part time employment as a sales representative and affiliate of a federally licensed firearms dealer. Wallace has been involved in the firearms business for over five years and has a background in firearms and tactical supplies. Wallace has been affiliated and participated in various firearms competitive shooting groups for over five years to include IDPA and IPSC shooting clubs. Wallace is also a certified firearms armorer for Armalite (M-16, AR-15), Sig Sauer handguns and Glock firearms. Wallace has received advanced tactical and firearms training through the Department of Criminal Justice, the Department of Justice, as well as other federal and state agencies and has recently become an instructor for the Department of Criminal Justice.
Rusty David
Precision Rifle Instructor
Rusty is currently a sniper team leader/operator for an active Northern Virginia SWAT Team. Rusty has 12 years of Law Enforcement experience, with 9 of those years with SWAT. Rusty is a DCJS certified instructor and has been an instructor for both Basic SWAT and Advanced SWAT courses. As a DCJS instructor, Rusty has provided instruction in officer survival, advanced firearms, and CQB/Hi-Risk Warrant Service. Rusty has attended LAPD’S Urban Police Sniper Course, Virginia State Police Sniper Course, and the FBI’S Basic Sniper/Observer Course.
Rusty was a US Marine with 6 years of military service. While in Marine Corps, Rusty served with Marine Corps Security Forces and received training as a Designated Marksman, Close Quarters Combat, and Protective Security Details.
